By Coronet a case for iPhone with 6576 diamonds

An iPhone case covered with diamonds. As a stick for lipstick: these are the new Coronet records ♦ ︎

A record, a primacy, a podium, always have a certain effect. But perhaps Aaron Shum, founder of Coronet and president of Aaron Shum Jewelry Limited of Hong Kong does not get too excited: he is accustomed to the primates. A few years ago he presented a electric guitar, unique in the world: a Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass with 16.033 Swarovski crystals. In 2015 it was the turn of the most precious guitar in the world: a Gibson covered with diamonds weighing 400 carats, 1.6 kilograms of 18 carat gold, worth 2 million dollars. In March he surprised everyone with a bottle shaped Coca-Cola bag studded with 9888 diamonds. And in 2018 he won another best record with an iPhone case covered with 6576 diamonds, weighing 16.95 carats. When we say primacy it is not by way of saying.

At VicenzaOro, Mr. Aaron Shum received the certificate from Guinness World Records.

In fact, it is difficult for anyone to make a cell phone case that is more precious than this. But not only. Because Coronet has also presented another object of primacy: a lipstick, also covered with small diamonds. In this case the diamonds are 2216, for 18.6 carats. Even the lipstick has received a certificate that attests the world record. Coronet, however, also emphasizes the innovative setting, which allows diamonds to float in an absolutely transparent material, which is also used for the manufacture of bullet-proof glass. And this avoids the use of metal prongs.

How Coronet and Reena shine

Coronet and Reena Ahluwalia show the result of collaboration: the Inner Brilliance collection.
Reena Ahluwalia is a designer specializing in diamonds who lives in Toronto, Canada. Coronet is a trademark of Aaron Shum Jewelry based in Hong Kong. The result of collaboration between the two, that it was announced in September, was shown at Baselworld 2017.

The designer has given her name to an entire line, Inner Brilliance, a jewelry collection obviously made from diamonds. There are two extra things to note: Coronet uses its patented set that combines seven different diamonds to form a single unit, creating the effect of a large solitaire. Reena Ahluwalia, for its part, has worked around this combination to build the collection, consisting of colorless diamonds, but also rubies, mounted on gold 18 carat white, pink or yellow. The collection consists of necklaces, pendants, earrings and rings. At Baselworld, in any case, Reena also presented one of his paintings depicting, obviously, a diamond. Lavinia Andorno

Diamonds on the wall

Coronet, brand specializes in diamond jewelry, entrusts its image to the Canadian designer Reena Ahluwalia.
In Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, the company specialized in diamond, Aaron Shumand and his brand Coronet, announced the collaboration with the award-winning Canadian designer of jewelry and diamonds, but also a painter, Reena Ahluwalia. The designer painted a picture for Coronet.
Reena Ahluwalia is a designer who lives in Toronto, Canada. She is one of the greater jewelery artists: she design collections for major brands and, at the same time, creates large paintings with diamonds and precious stones. For his work he received a long list of awards and accolades, including the coveted De Beers Diamonds-International Award and the Diamonds Rio Tinto design award. Born in India, she absorbed the passion of the Indians for jewelry, but at the same time, she embraced a Western-type style. Reena has put her signature to the ornamental design as those who entrusted Rio Tinto to inaugurate the Bunder diamond mine, in Madhya Pradesh, India. Or for a tiara by Asscher, a tribute to the Royal Wedding of Kate Middleton. At this work we add the creation of hyper-realistic paintings of cut stones, not only diamonds, that look like mandalas, ritual representations for meditation. In a nutshell, if you do not have a big diamond you can always draw it. Giulia Netrese

A diamond’s guitar as necklace

For many women (and men) the guitar is not only a musical instrument, but also a symbol of freedom. Now may also be a jewel, as evidenced by Coronet, a brand landed in the US a couple of years ago from the rib of Aaron Shum Jewellery from Hong Kong. Not to be underestimated: at Baselworld 2015 Coronet became the second Asian brand jewelry hosted in the prestigious Hall 1, after Mikimoto in 1996. The company, which has operations base in California, in VicenzaOro September brought a jewel to Guiness, after a world tour past from Switzerland to China: a Gibson guitar from 2 million dollars with diamonds (400 carats), the work of designer Mark Him. It is the result of 700 days of work of a team of 68 people and is the most expensive guitar in the world. But, next to guitar for musicians Aaron Shum Jewellery proposes other with the size of a pendant to be tied to a necklace. Have the silhouette of an electric guitar, are made of white gold and almost completely covered with small diamonds. They will appeal to those who love rock, but also the luxury.
It should be added another aspect: Coronet uses a special technique for cutting stones creates an impressive bright solitaire with only 30 points of diamond. The setting is patented: the diamond has no central peaks and boasts superior light refraction (says Coronet) to reach an optimal brilliance at about one third of the carat weight and a tenth of the price of a lonely equivalent.
