Italia seconda nell’oro riciclato

/

Federico Graglia

ukItaly ranks second in the recycling of gold

Surprise : Italy is the second in the world for reuse of gold. Ie yellow metal previously used and then melted again in ingots. This was revealed Gioiellis.com on data from the World Gold Council. First of Italy there are only the United States and then China and India. The recovery of gold from the products and artifacts, from the jewelry in the first place (perhaps also due to the spread of the ” buy gold “), it is obviously more likely to occur in countries with high consumption. The yellow metal ‘second hand ‘ has become a significant source of supply to the market. In 2012 he produced 1,616 tons, the equivalent of 37% of the world’s supply of gold. The use of recycled gold increased by 60 % since 2007, when the world total was 1,005 tons. The offer was far more ineressante than that of mining production, where the development time for the exploration and extraction does not contemplate the speed. The downside is that the value of the metal reused is more uncertain than that extracted from the mines. The yellow metal is recycled, in fact, recovered from existing products and often does not provide guarantees on the unique purity. Are, moreover, given the way in which the gold is melted and reused.
