Tre giorni dedicati al corallo, a Roma. «I segreti del gioiello nato tra mari e vulcani» è il titolo dell’evento in programma da venerdì 21 a domenica 23 novembre, nella gioielleria Micarelli, in via Frattina 104/105, a Roma. L’iniziativa è di Oro di Sciacca, brand siciliano del corallo e della gioielleria. Chi è interessato potrà seguire un percorso espositivo centrato sul fascino naturale delle creazioni realizzate artigianalmente nel laboratorio del brand di Sciacca. Il racconto parte dal profondo mare del Mediterraneo e da un’isola vulcanica emersa e affondata in mare soprannominata «l’isola che non c’è». La natura sub-fossile del corallo, grazie alla genesi vulcanica, è rimasta intatta nel tempo fino ai nostri giorni. «Il corallo di Sciacca è sempre stato la mia passione», spiega Giuseppe Conti, titolare di Oro di Sciacca. «È un materiale tanto unico e inconfondibile da poter diventare l’icona di una cultura e di un territorio: la Sicilia. È così che abbiamo appreso le più antiche tecniche di lavorazione che assieme all’espressione creativa si trasformano in gioielli, pezzi unici ed originali». G.N.
