Enzo Liverino 1894, the top jewelry of coral

/

Coral necklaces, coral earrings, coral rings: but Enzo Liverino 1894 is also much more ♦

The jewels that are not usually owned can be admired only in two places: in jewelry or at major jewelry fairs. You can also peek at the necks of celebrities during their red carpet walks, but they can be seen from afar. There is, however, another possibility, which concerns only a few jewels. They are those kept in museums. One of these is the Coral Museum, in Torre del Greco (Naples). And within this museum there is an entire collection of a single jeweler: the Liverino collection.

Enzo Liverino 1894 is the name of the Maison that has been producing and processing coral for over five generations. But with great attention to the environmental aspect: Liverino is president of the CIBJO Coral Commission, for the Certification as Carbon Neutral through the CIBJO Greenhouse Gas Measurement Initiative.

The collection, in particular, was started in 1934 by Basilio Liverino, when he was 16 years old. Over time he has collected a thousand pieces of jewelery and sculptures in coral and semi-precious stones. The company is still one of the most popular coral jewelry producers today. In addition to necklaces with all shades of coral, rings and earrings, Enzo Liverino 1984 also has cameos, another traditional craftsmanship of the Torre del Greco area, among his specialties. But that’s not all: he recently developed a truly original idea: tiles made of pressed coral. They are jewel-tiles, intended for those who can afford jewel-like furnishings.

Voice-Vicenzaoro with 300 companies and many big names

Vicenzaoro has been suspended. Long live Vicenzaoro. Which, however, in September is called Voice. If the health emergency led Ieg (the company that organizes Vicenzaoro) to transform the format of the event by also changing the name, the companies in the sector have a strong need to show their production to buyers, that the appointment is called Vicenzaoro o Voice doesn’t matter. This is what can be deduced from the announcement that, in July, the companies that have chosen to exhibit their jewels at Voice-Vicenzaoro International Community Event (12 to 14 September) exceed 300.

About 300 companies means a very limited drop of about 15% compared to last year’s attendance. And taking into account that the major fairs, not only of jewelery, have been postponed to next year, number of registration to Voice is a success, perhaps unexpected. In short, Vicenzaoro, ops, Voice has a strong attraction. The names that have already reserved their space also testify to this.

For example, Damiani, Crivelli, Leo Pizzo, Mirco Visconti, Fope, Roberto Coin, Pesavento, Karizia, Chrysos, Ronco, Chiampesan, Riccardo Orsato, Alessi Domenico, Silvex, Daveri Vicenza, Unoaerre, Giordini, Richline, Fratelli Chini, Quadrifoglio, Amen, Annamaria Cammilli, Rosato, Pianegonda, Brosway, Rue des Milles. And there will also be companies from Campania, specialists in the processing of corals and cameos, such as Aucella, Bruno Mazza, Coscia, De Simone, Idea Coral, Mattia Mazza, Enzo Liverino.

In Milan, the art of jewelry on exhibition

If you are near Milan, maybe to visit the Expo, do not miss the exhibition called Gioiello – arte e nutrimento dell’anima (Jewel – art and food of the soul). It is organized from the Goldsmiths’ Club Italy (Thursday, June 25 – Monday, July 27) at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan. The jewels are placed in their natural environment, the artistic one: on display are those of the Renaissance workshops, up to contemporary pieces. Some names admitted between the boards and the famous portrait of the lady by Pollaiolo: Broggian, Caesars and Rinaldi, Chantecler, Fope, Forevemark, Enzo Liverino, Vendorafa Lombardi and Vhernier. Signatures of jewelery that expose all together and in a museum, valuable pieces of their collections, a sign of the link between passion and craftsmanship, trade capacity and aesthetic sense. On the other hand, in the Italian jewelery it has developed in parallel with the evolution of classical art, one of the paintings and sculptures. Side note: the relationship of affinity and common research that links the Goldsmiths’ Club Italy and the Museo Poldi Pezzoli, was evidenced by the support of the Club for the restoration of two precious enamels limosini, now restored to its splendor: a Peace with ‘Adoption of a child and Peace with the Pietà, both of 1500.
