Les premiers doutes sur la r\u00e9elle intention du groupe fran\u00e7ais de Monsieur Bernard Arnault de proc\u00e9der, comme convenu l&rsquo;automne dernier, au rachat du g\u00e9ant am\u00e9ricain avaient \u00e9merg\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin du printemps lorsque le conseil d&rsquo;administration de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de luxe fran\u00e7aise (Christian Dior, Bulgari , DKNY, Fendi, C\u00e9line, Guerlain, Givenchy, Kenzo, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, Mo\u00ebt &amp; Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Hennessy) avaient exprim\u00e9 leur perplexit\u00e9 quant au prix convenu de 16,2 milliards de dollars. Le covid, qui a d\u00e9prim\u00e9 les ventes du secteur, en \u00e9tait (peut-\u00eatre) la cause. En effet, LVMH avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 demand\u00e9 le report de la signature d\u00e9finitive au 24 novembre, trois mois apr\u00e8s la date convenue il y a pr\u00e8s d&rsquo;un an, mais en tout cas sur la base d&rsquo;une clause contractuelle.
