Ces pi\u00e8ces de haute joaillerie tournent en effet autour d&rsquo;un bijou sp\u00e9cial: <strong>la topaze imp\u00e9riale<\/strong>. C&rsquo;est une pierre connue de peu, avec une haute propri\u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissante, qui a une histoire particuli\u00e8re. Elle est appel\u00e9e imp\u00e9riale, en fait, parce que son nom est li\u00e9 \u00e0 la Russie et, plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque des tsars. Au XIXe si\u00e8cle, en effet, ce type de topaze \u00e9tait extrait dans les mines des montagnes de l&rsquo;Oural. Et seule la famille du tsar \u00e9tait autoris\u00e9e \u00e0 porter ces gemmes.
