Qui est d&rsquo;origine italienne (tr\u00e8s \u00e9loign\u00e9e). <strong>Mellerio,<\/strong> dont le nom complet est Mellerio dits Meller, est d\u00e9sormais fran\u00e7ais. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e en 1613 et ses descendants pr\u00e9tendent \u00eatre la plus ancienne entreprise familiale d&rsquo;Europe. Le bijou donne \u00e9galement son nom \u00e0 une taille particuli\u00e8re de gemmes, le Mellerio en fait, qui compte 57 facettes de forme ovale dans une ellipse. Jean-Baptiste Mellerio (1765-1850) ouvre ensuite un atelier \u00e0 Versailles en 1777, o\u00f9 r\u00e9side la cour du roi de France. En 1796, la famille Mellerio ouvre \u00e9galement une boutique rue Vivienne, \u00e9galement \u00e0 Versailles. A commencer par l&rsquo;Italienne, devenue reine de France, Maria de M\u00e9dicis, seconde \u00e9pouse d&rsquo;Henri IV, tomb\u00e9e amoureuse des bijoux de Mellerio. Depuis, la route est en descente entre Versailles et la Maison jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 Marie-Antoinette. Des chefs-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre de l&rsquo;art de l&rsquo;orf\u00e8vrerie sont marqu\u00e9s dans les registres de bijoux, comme un bracelet \u00e0 cam\u00e9e et rubis achet\u00e9 par la reine Marie-Antoinette, le diad\u00e8me achet\u00e9 par la s\u0153ur de Napol\u00e9on, ou la tiare \u00e0 rubis command\u00e9e en 1888 par le roi de les Pays-Bas et le magazine de r\u00e9cemment lors d&rsquo;un mariage royal n\u00e9erlandais, en 2004. Ou une broche repr\u00e9sentant un paon, avec un bec dor\u00e9 et des vagues de panaches de diamants, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle pour un maraj\u00e0 indien. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, la maison historique c\u00e9l\u00e8bre quatre si\u00e8cles d&rsquo;activit\u00e9.
