La nouvelle confirmation spectaculaire vient de Hong Kong, o\u00f9 un spectaculaire diamant brillant ovale de 88,22 carats, D Colour, Flawless, Type IIa, parfait selon tous les crit\u00e8res critiques, a \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu \u00e0 la vente Magnificent Jewels au prix de 13,8 millions de dollars, ou 12,3 millions d&rsquo;euros. Le diamant \u00e9tait l\u2019un des trois diamants ovales de plus de 50 carats vendus aux ench\u00e8res et le plus gros depuis plus de cinq ans. Manami est le nom de la fille a\u00een\u00e9e.<\/h4>\n<p>Le diamant a \u00e9t\u00e9 contest\u00e9 par trois soumissionnaires et a commenc\u00e9 avec une valorisation entre 11,2 et 12,7 millions de dollars, montant qu\u2019il d\u00e9passait. Le prix par carat est de 156 150 $.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Nous \u00e9tions ravis de manipuler un diamant d\u2019une telle raret\u00e9, qui figure d\u00e9sormais dans la liste des meilleurs diamants blancs qui sont arriv\u00e9s sur le march\u00e9 ici, chez Sotheby\u2019s Asia. Le diamant est la couleur D (le grade le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour un diamant blanc); de clart\u00e9 exceptionnelle (sans d\u00e9faut, interne et externe), avec une brillance et une sym\u00e9trie excellentes. Comme pour le diamant Koh-i-noor (\u00e9galement ovale) et le Cullinan I, qui font partie des joyaux de la couronne britannique, la pierre appartient au rare sous-groupe qui comprend moins de 2% de tous les diamants gemmes, connus sous le nom de Type. IIa. La pierre brute de 242 carats qui a produit le diamant a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte au Botswana dans la mine Jwaneng, propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de De Beers et du gouvernement du Botswana, r\u00e9put\u00e9e pour la production de mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res de haute qualit\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s sa d\u00e9couverte, le diamant brut a \u00e9t\u00e9 taill\u00e9 et poli pendant des mois. Compte tenu de la forme allong\u00e9e de la pierre brute, la forme ovale a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie pour pr\u00e9server le plus grand poids possible. Il convient \u00e9galement de noter une paire de boucles d&rsquo;oreilles en diamant et saphir, d\u2019une valeur sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 un million de dollars am\u00e9ricains, ainsi qu\u2019une bague en \u00e9meraude et en diamant.
