Linnaeus, le p\u00e8re de la classification scientifique moderne des organismes vivants, a nomm\u00e9 le genre en l&rsquo;honneur de l&rsquo;herboriste allemand Otto Brunfels. Et ce n\u2019est pas un hasard si Brumani, une maison br\u00e9silienne cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 2005 par les fr\u00e8res Bruner, d\u2019origine allemande, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de d\u00e9dier une collection de bijoux \u00e0 Brunfelsia, un nom en parfaite harmonie avec celui des fondateurs.
