La vente aux ench\u00e8res de Magnificent Jewels de Christie&rsquo;s au Four Seasons H\u00f4tel des Bergues constitue en fait un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 de plus de 300 joyaux. Cette tiare n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue uniquement par l\u2019une des plus grandes maisons de couture de tous les temps, elle a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9e par l\u2019un des meilleurs laboratoires au monde \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque. Apr\u00e8s une longue histoire, la tiare faisait partie de l&rsquo;h\u00e9ritage de la famille von F\u00fcrstenberg jusqu&rsquo;en 2015.<br \/>\nParmi les pi\u00e8ces des grands noms de la joaillerie, il y a un sautoir de style \u00e9gyptien de Van Cleef &amp; Arpels dat\u00e9 de 1924, en pleine \u00e9gyptologie de ces ann\u00e9es. Il repr\u00e9sente un scarab\u00e9e ail\u00e9 repr\u00e9sentant Khepri, le soleil du matin. Dans l&rsquo;Antiquit\u00e9, ces objets \u00e9taient plac\u00e9s sur le coffre des morts en tant que symbole de la r\u00e9surrection. Le panneau en forme de cartouche entourant le scarab\u00e9e rappelle ceux utilis\u00e9s pour \u00e9crire les noms des rois dans les hi\u00e9roglyphes. Comme le collier de perles achet\u00e9 par Cartier en mai 1920 par Horace Elgin Dodge (1868-1920), un ancien m\u00e9canicien devenu riche en Am\u00e9rique qui produisait des moteurs et des automobiles. Horace Dodge a donn\u00e9 le collier \u00e0 sa fille en payant une somme \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 70 millions de dollars.
