Qui sait s&rsquo;il aurait satisfait David Rockefeller, le l\u00e9gendaire banquier am\u00e9ricain, d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, qui, avec sa femme Peggy, avait collect\u00e9 de nombreuses pi\u00e8ces mises aux ench\u00e8res par Christie&rsquo;s \u00e0 New York. La vente a totalis\u00e9 89% des lots vendus, 95% en valeur. Le prix le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 obtenu avec une bague en diamant de 20,47 carats, vendue 2,6 millions de dollars. Un saphir du Cachemire et une bague en diamant de 5 carats, de Raymond Yard, qui fait partie de la Collection de Peggy et David Rockefeller, ont fait 372 000 dollars. Mais globalement, la collection Peggy et David Rockefeller a vendu 3,1 millions de bijoux. Il convient de noter que le produit de la vente de bijoux n&rsquo;augmentera pas le compte courant de la famille, mais sera donn\u00e9 \u00e0 la charit\u00e9.<br \/>\nParmi les autres pi\u00e8ces particuli\u00e8rement populaires, un collier de diamants \u00e0 franges, vendu pour 1,5 million et le Berlin Ruby, bague avec rubis chauff\u00e9 ovale, pesant environ 4,59 carats, flanqu\u00e9 des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s par un diamant, vendu pour 1,1 million (d&rsquo;un devis maximum de 600 000 dollars).
