Le nom morganite, en tout cas, ne se r\u00e9f\u00e8re pas \u00e0 la f\u00e9e Morgana, mais a \u00e9t\u00e9 conf\u00e9r\u00e9 par le min\u00e9ralogiste am\u00e9ricain George Frederick Kunz en l&rsquo;honneur du banquier am\u00e9ricain actif au tournant du XXe si\u00e8cle John Pierpont Morgan, collectionneur de pierres (et fondateur de l&rsquo;une des plus grandes banques encore en activit\u00e9, JP Morgan).<br \/>\nEt voici une utilisation exceptionnelle de cette pierre raffin\u00e9e: des boucles d&rsquo;oreilles avec plus de 100 carats de morganite. Ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 Baselworld par Jacob &amp; Co, Maison de New York qui pr\u00e9sente souvent des bijoux particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9cieux. Les boucles d&rsquo;oreilles comportent un total de quatre pierres de morganite. Le plus gros p\u00e8se 93,88 carats, tandis que le plus petit p\u00e8se 6,35 carats. Non seulement cela: 98 diamants en forme de poire, pesant un total de 8,61 carats, ornent les boucles d&rsquo;oreilles, qui sont encore accentu\u00e9es avec plus de 360 \u200b\u200bdiamants pav\u00e9s blancs.
