Vous pourrez admirer les bijoux vintage au Museum of London \u00e0 partir du 11 octobre. Le tr\u00e9sor de Cheapside a une curieuse histoire. Les bijoux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverts par hasard par des ouvriers dans une cave o\u00f9 ils \u00e9taient cach\u00e9s depuis 101 ans pr\u00e8s de la cath\u00e9drale Saint-Paul. Encore : une pierre ovale grav\u00e9e des armoiries de William Howard, premier et unique vicomte de Stafford (1612-1680). Ce joyau et d&rsquo;autres indices ont conduit les chercheurs \u00e0 conclure que les tr\u00e9sors ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enterr\u00e9s entre 1640 et 1666. \u00ab\u00a0Le tr\u00e9sor de Cheapside a \u00e9t\u00e9 entour\u00e9 de myst\u00e8re, avec des questions rest\u00e9es sans r\u00e9ponse pendant trop longtemps\u00a0\u00bb, a comment\u00e9 Forsyth Nocciola, commissaire de l&rsquo;exposition. Le nom, Cheapside, \u00e9tait celui de la principale rue commer\u00e7ante de Londres au XVIIe si\u00e8cle. Et il y avait beaucoup de bijoutiers qui travaillaient dans cette rue.L&rsquo;exposition restera ouverte jusqu&rsquo;au 27 avril 2014.
