Alors que le Raj Pink de 37 carats n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas vendu \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, le plus petit The Pink Promise, un rose vif de 14,93 carats, a \u00e9t\u00e9 battu par Christie&rsquo;s pour 31,9 millions de dollars \u00e0 la vente aux ench\u00e8res Magnificent Jewels Hong Kong. Le prix est tr\u00e8s proche du record du monde pour un seul carat d&rsquo;un diamant rose: 2,13 millions de dollars (le record est de 2,15 millions par carat qu&rsquo;un acheteur a pay\u00e9 pour un diamant brillant de 5 carats lors d&rsquo;une vente aux ench\u00e8res Christie&rsquo;s \u00e0 Hong Kong en d\u00e9cembre 2009).<br \/>\nLe diamant a une histoire curieuse: il a \u00e9t\u00e9 achet\u00e9 par un marchand de pierre, Stephen Silver, en 2013 et a encore coup\u00e9 pour mettre en \u00e9vidence sa couleur; il pesait 16,10 carats. L&rsquo;op\u00e9ration, tr\u00e8s d\u00e9licate, a r\u00e9ussi. Silver (un nom qui marque une destin\u00e9e) est d\u00e9j\u00e0 occup\u00e9 avec des diamants particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9cieux, tels que The Cranberry, violet rouge fantaisie, The Million Dollar Pumpkin, une orange vif, et un diamant fantaisie bleu vif.
