Giulio Raimondo Mazzarino, n\u00e9 \u00e0 Pescina (Abruzzes, Italie) en 1602, aussi connu comme le nom fran\u00e7ais de Jules Raymond Mazarin, \u00e9tait une sorte de Premier ministre de Louis XIV et, \u00e0 la mort du roi, est devenu en pratique le r\u00e9gent de France. Il a laiss\u00e9 comme h\u00e9ritage aux mortels non seulement une vie politique intense et importante, mais aussi un diamant. Et maintenant ce diamant est mis aux ench\u00e8res par Christie&rsquo;s le 14 novembre \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve. La pierre s&rsquo;appelle Grand Mazarin et faisait partie des bijoux de la Couronne de France.<br \/>\nLe nom suscite la fantasie, mais en tout cas la pierre est de valeur: c&rsquo;est un diamant fancy pink de 19,07 carats. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 extrait dans les mines maintenant \u00e9puis\u00e9es de Golconde, en Inde, et faisait partie du tr\u00e9sor de la Couronne. Main en main, en 1810 le diamant a \u00e9t\u00e9 port\u00e9 par l&rsquo;imp\u00e9ratrice Maria Luisa, mont\u00e9 sur un diad\u00e8me command\u00e9 par Napol\u00e9on Ier chez le bijoutier Fran\u00e7ois Regnault Nitot. Napol\u00e9on III le remit \u00e0 l&rsquo;imp\u00e9ratrice Eug\u00e9nie. Le Grand Mazarin fut vendu aux ench\u00e8res en 1887 et achet\u00e9 par le grand bijoutier Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Boucheron. En 1962, il revient au premier plan, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;il soit achet\u00e9 par un particulier en Europe. Le m\u00eame qui vend maintenant le diamant de Christie&rsquo;s.
