De cette p\u00e9pini\u00e8re, 5,3 millions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pens\u00e9s pour un diamant, le Jonker num\u00e9ro 5, au-dessus de son estimation pr\u00e9-vente de 2,2 \u00e0 3,6 millions. Le diamant p\u00e8se 25,27 carats, a une coupe rectangulaire, type IIa, couleur D, clart\u00e9 VVS2. Le Jonker n\u00b0 5 fait partie de la collection l\u00e9gendaire de diamants d\u00e9coup\u00e9e \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;une pierre rugueuse de 726 carats, d\u00e9couverte par Jacob Jonker en Afrique du Sud en 1934. Cette pierre \u00e9tait, en ce moment, le quatri\u00e8me plus grand diamant jamais trouv\u00e9. Il a aussi une longue histoire: ce diamant l&rsquo;avait achet\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s de la Corporation Diamant de Sir Ernest Oppenheimer. Ensuite, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu \u00e0 Harry Winston en 1935 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9 lors des c\u00e9l\u00e9brations du Jubil\u00e9 de couronnement du roi George V et Queen Mary \u00e0 Londres, puis au Mus\u00e9e am\u00e9ricain d&rsquo;histoire naturelle \u00e0 New York.<br \/>\nHarry Winston a ensuite coup\u00e9 le gros diamant avec l&rsquo;aide de Lazare Kaplan: le r\u00e9sultat est de 13 pi\u00e8ces avec un poids de 3,53 \u00e0 142.90 carats, bien que le plus grand a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit \u00e0 125,35 carats pour augmenter son \u00e9clat.<br \/>\nUne autre pi\u00e8ce de valeur vendue \u00e0 Hong Kong est un collier cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Edmond Chin pour Boghossian.
