Le cr\u00e9ateur, neveu d&rsquo;un maharaja indien, travaille \u00e0 Los Angeles, o\u00f9 il a apport\u00e9 son h\u00e9ritage culturel, mais mis au service du style \u00e9toil\u00e9. Ce n&rsquo;est pas une co\u00efncidence si ses clients incluent Diane von Furstenberg, Mary-Kate Olsen, Wendi Deng Murdoch, Beyonc\u00e9, Madonna et Christian Louboutin. La passion de Hanut pour les bijoux a commenc\u00e9 quand il \u00e9tait enfant. Et il a collectionn\u00e9 des bijoux, d&rsquo;un diad\u00e8me de Cartier \u00e0 une aigrette de Boucheron, qui font partie de la collection familiale. La longue histoire de la famille Hanut comprend \u00e9galement la grand-m\u00e8re, Maharani Sita Devi de Kapurthala, princesse Karam, connue pour la fa\u00e7on dont elle assortit ses bijoux avec son sari, les costumes sur mesure de Chanel, Lanvin et Elsa Schiaparelli, d\u00e9finis dans Vogue comme une \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9esse\u00a0\u00bb. \u00ab\u00a0en 1932 et photographi\u00e9 par Cecil Beaton. Bref, il n&rsquo;est pas surprenant que Hanut Singh pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les perles vintage, avec une l\u00e9g\u00e8re patine du temps, \u00e0 utiliser avec de l&rsquo;or blanc et de l&rsquo;or jaune, pour cr\u00e9er ses bijoux au go\u00fbt exotique, mais en m\u00eame temps si modernes qu&rsquo;ils peuvent \u00eatre port\u00e9 sur un tapis rouge. Et pas seulement parce que le designer combine des \u00e9l\u00e9ments d&rsquo;influence indienne avec des \u00e9l\u00e9ments plus g\u00e9om\u00e9triques et lin\u00e9aires typiques du go\u00fbt occidental.
