C&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire que l&rsquo;expertise de l&rsquo;orf\u00e8vre de la marque Pforzheim traverse les fronti\u00e8res nationales. L&rsquo;entreprise a une histoire ancienne et il n&rsquo;est pas surprenant qu&rsquo;elle ait \u00e9galement dans son catalogue une collection appel\u00e9e Chevali\u00e8re. La ligne de bijoux est bas\u00e9e sur la bague classique qui porte traditionnellement le sceau noble. La caract\u00e9ristique de ces bagues est le traitement guilloch\u00e9: c&rsquo;est un type de dessin r\u00e9p\u00e9titif, dans ce cas \u00e9galement sur la laque, avec des lignes grav\u00e9es, lin\u00e9aires ou ondul\u00e9es, entour\u00e9es d&rsquo;une couronne de diamants. En plus des bagues, Victor Mayer propose \u00e9galement des boutons de manchette pour hommes et pour femmes. Apr\u00e8s une formation de graveur sur plaques m\u00e9talliques, Mayer fut en 1877 l&rsquo;un des premiers \u00e9l\u00e8ves de la nouvelle \u00e9cole grand-ducale des arts et m\u00e9tiers. Il a pass\u00e9 trois ans \u00e0 Vienne en tant que graveur, o\u00f9 il a appris la technique du guilloch\u00e9 et de l&rsquo;\u00e9maillage. De retour \u00e0 Baden Baden, il fonde sa propre bijouterie. La ville thermale allemande, capitale d&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 de l&rsquo;Europe \u00e0 la Belle Epoque, la lance d\u00e9finitivement. Apr\u00e8s les \u00e9preuves difficiles de la Premi\u00e8re et de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, les survivants de la famille ont eu la force de recommencer.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_108194\"
