Et il raconte l&rsquo;histoire d&rsquo;un contrebandier entre les ann\u00e9es 1920 et 1930 qui devient riche, tr\u00e8s riche, \u00e0 tel point qu&rsquo;il tente de conqu\u00e9rir une femme gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses ressources financi\u00e8res. Il n&rsquo;est donc pas surprenant qu&rsquo;une marque de bijoux, Tiffany, ait t\u00e9moign\u00e9 lors de la pr\u00e9sentation du film bas\u00e9 sur le livre. Le film promet de devenir l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement cin\u00e9matographique de l\u2019ann\u00e9e. Le film est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Baz Luhrmann et met en vedette Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire et Carey Mulligan.
