Lors de la vente aux ench\u00e8res de <strong>Christie&rsquo;s Magnificent Jewels \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve<\/strong>, la pierre n&rsquo;a cependant pas atteint l&rsquo;estimation maximale (environ 30 millions) m\u00eame si elle a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 la valeur minimale (19 millions). Le Rocher a un poids de 228,31 carats, une taille en goutte et est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une pierre parfaite. Pesant 228,31 carats, The Rock est le plus gros diamant blanc jamais mis aux ench\u00e8res. Le dernier lot de la vente aux ench\u00e8res comprenait un autre joyau extraordinaire de plus de 200 carats, le sensationnel The Red Cross Diamond. Ce fut un privil\u00e8ge de pr\u00e9senter cette pierre l\u00e9gendaire, vendue pour la premi\u00e8re fois par Christie&rsquo;s en 1918 dans le cadre de l&rsquo;Appel de la Croix-Rouge. Plus d&rsquo;un si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s cette premi\u00e8re vente, le diamant a \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu apr\u00e8s 11 minutes de comp\u00e9tition pour 14,1 millions de francs, un record mondial d&rsquo;ench\u00e8res pour un diamant jaune fantaisie intense.
