Le diamant, comme toutes les gemmes sp\u00e9ciales, a aussi un nom : Le Diamant Lumi\u00e8re d&rsquo;Afrique. L&rsquo;estimation oscille entre 11 et 18 millions de dollars. La Lumi\u00e8re d&rsquo;Afrique est un diamant taille \u00e9meraude de couleur D (meilleur) sans d\u00e9faut de 103,49 carats avec un polissage et une sym\u00e9trie excellents. La gemme a \u00e9t\u00e9 taill\u00e9e dans une pierre brute de 299,3 carats, d\u00e9terr\u00e9e de la mine de diamants Cullinan appartenant \u00e0 Petra Diamonds. La grosse pierre pr\u00e9cieuse a \u00e9t\u00e9 extraite, taill\u00e9e et polie en Afrique du Sud. La mine de diamants de Cullinan a produit certains des diamants les plus historiques, notamment la grande \u00e9toile d&rsquo;Afrique et la deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9toile d&rsquo;Afrique, qui font toutes deux partie des joyaux de la couronne britannique sertis dans le sceptre du souverain et la couronne de l&rsquo;\u00c9tat imp\u00e9rial. .
