Muchos se <strong>preguntan si las perlas doradas son completamente naturales<\/strong> o si est\u00e1n cubiertas con polvo de oro. La respuesta es que son perlas naturales. La variedad dorada generalmente proviene del Mar de C\u00e9lebes entre Indonesia y Filipinas y est\u00e1 hecha de una variedad particular de ostras llamada Pinctada Maxima. Estas son ostras de tama\u00f1o mediano que aman este particular h\u00e1bitat tropical y producen una perla dorada. Estas perlas, que m\u00e1s gen\u00e9ricamente forman parte de las definidas como los Mares del Sur, pueden tener una tonalidad desde el oro p\u00e1lido al oro rosa, hasta el oro verde o el amarillo intenso.
