El eje del monumento est\u00e1 orientado astron\u00f3micamente, con un camino de acceso en el centro del cual se encuentra una roca llamada piedra del tal\u00f3n (Heel Stone, tambi\u00e9n llamada Fryar&#8217;s Heel, es decir, el tal\u00f3n del fraile). El anillo del solsticio de verano tambi\u00e9n tiene representaciones grabadas a mano del sol, la luna y las estrellas. Una corona de diamantes rodea una c\u00fapula de topacio azul, que recuerda la transici\u00f3n de la noche al amanecer. Theo Fennell y su equipo tardaron seis meses en hacer la nueva joya.
