Que es de origen italiano (muy lejano). <strong>Mellerio<\/strong>, cuyo nombre completo es Mellerio dits Meller, ahora es franc\u00e9s. Fue fundada en 1613 y sus descendientes afirman ser la empresa familiar m\u00e1s antigua de Europa. La joyer\u00eda tambi\u00e9n da nombre a un tallado particular de gemas, el Mellerio de hecho, que tiene 57 facetas en forma ovalada dentro de una elipse. Jean-Baptiste Mellerio (1765-1850) abri\u00f3 un taller en Versalles en 1777, donde resid\u00eda la corte del rey de Francia. En 1796 la familia Mellerio tambi\u00e9n abri\u00f3 una tienda en la rue Vivienne, tambi\u00e9n en Versalles. Empezando por la italiana, que se convirti\u00f3 en reina de Francia, Mar\u00eda de M\u00e9dicis, segunda esposa de Enrique IV, que se enamor\u00f3 de las joyas de Mellerio. Desde entonces, la carretera ha sido cuesta abajo entre Versalles y la Maison hasta Mar\u00eda Antonieta. Las obras maestras del arte del orfebre est\u00e1n marcadas en los libros de contabilidad, como una pulsera con camafeo y rub\u00ed comprada por la reina Mar\u00eda Antonieta, la diadema comprada por la hermana de Napole\u00f3n o la tiara con rub\u00ed encargada en 1888 por el rey de Holanda y revista de recientemente durante una boda real holandesa, en 2004. O un broche que representa un pavo real, con pico dorado y ondas de plumas de diamantes, realizado a principios del siglo XX para un maraj\u00e0 indio. Ahora, la hist\u00f3rica maison celebra cuatro siglos de actividad.
