Qui\u00e9n sabe si habr\u00eda satisfecho a David Rockefeller, el legendario banquero estadounidense, que falleci\u00f3 el a\u00f1o pasado, quien junto con su esposa Peggy hab\u00eda recogido muchas de las piezas subastadas por Christie&#8217;s en Nueva York. La venta totaliz\u00f3 el 89% de los lotes vendidos, el 95% en valor. El precio m\u00e1s alto se obtuvo con un anillo de diamantes de 20,47 quilates, vendido por 2,6 millones de d\u00f3lares. Un zafiro de Cachemira y un anillo de diamantes de 5 quilates, por Raymond Yard, parte de la Colecci\u00f3n de Peggy y David Rockefeller, ganaron 372,000 d\u00f3lares. Pero, en general, la colecci\u00f3n de Peggy y David Rockefeller vendi\u00f3 joyas por 3,1 millones. Cabe se\u00f1alar que el producto de la venta de joyas no aumentar\u00e1 la cuenta corriente de la familia, sino que se donar\u00e1 a obras de caridad.<br \/>\nEntre las otras piezas particularmente populares, un collar de diamantes con flecos, vendido por 1,5 millones y el rub\u00ed berlin\u00e9s, anillo con rub\u00ed oval calentado, que pesa alrededor de 4,59 quilates, flanqueado en ambos lados por un diamante, se vendi\u00f3 por 1,1 millones (de una estimaci\u00f3n m\u00e1xima de 600,000 d\u00f3lares).
