Mientras Arthur Rimbaud, uno de los grandes poetas franceses de finales del siglo XIX, escribi\u00f3 estas palabras, en Par\u00eds, en el n\u00famero 79 de la rue de Turbigo, en Par\u00eds, naci\u00f3 una nueva marca de joyas. Fue fundado en 1880 por Achille Hourdequin. Despu\u00e9s de la muerte repentina del fundador en 1942, G\u00e9rard Gringoire, yerno, se hizo cargo de la empresa, junto con su esposa, Edith Hourdequin.
