Nacida en la India, Nueva Delhi, se convirti\u00f3 en la mejor modelo en Par\u00eds, la musa de Yves Saint Laurent, una de las favoritas del estilista (el dise\u00f1ador guardaba una foto de Kirat en su habitaci\u00f3n). Eran los a\u00f1os setenta. Entonces, lleg\u00f3 la amistad con Oscar de la Renta. Al salir de la pasarela, Kirat recurre a otro tipo de lujo, el de las joyas. Por su parte, es el conocimiento del glamoroso mundo de la moda, pero tambi\u00e9n la tradici\u00f3n art\u00edstica de su pa\u00eds de origen. El resultado es una especie de joyer\u00eda que revela las dos almas de Kirat Young. Annette de la Renta, la esposa de Oscar, fue su primer cliente. De palabra en boca, Kirat Young ha comenzado a dibujar y producir joyas. Pero la joyer\u00eda se vende en las tiendas de Oscar de la Renta, Suiza, Gstaad y St. Moritz, y en Los \u00c1ngeles. El estilo de joyer\u00eda firmado por Kirat Young es variado. Us\u00f3 muchas perlas del Mar del Sur cuando estaba casado con un australiano.
