En 1941, apodado Jules Hunter, el cazador de piedras fund\u00f3 la empresa de \u00e9l, luego compr\u00f3 la aguamarina m\u00e1s grande, bautizada como Martha Rocha, nombre inspirado en los ojos azules de Miss Brasil: la piedra pesaba 36,5 kilogramos. En 1963 Jules, con la experiencia del Instituto Gemol\u00f3gico de Am\u00e9rica, obtuvo la certificaci\u00f3n de las primeras esmeraldas producidas en Brasil. Su empresa, denominada Amsterdam Sauer, y ahora solo Sauer, se convirti\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente en una de las m\u00e1s grandes en el comercio de piedras preciosas en Am\u00e9rica del Sur. Despu\u00e9s de estudiar psicolog\u00eda y trabajar en el mundo de la moda, Stephanie Wenk decidi\u00f3 seguir su pasi\u00f3n por el mundo de las gemas preciosas. Las colecciones que firma para Sauer, como Fireworks, est\u00e1n impregnadas de constelaciones, dimensiones esot\u00e9ricas, referencias bibliogr\u00e1ficas, movimientos art\u00edsticos y estudios
