Her name is Yoko, a pearl specialist based in London. Yoko London offers jewelry in which pearls of all colors and sizes are at the center. At the head of this pearl temple is Michael Hakimian. He has an interesting story to tell: his family has been dealing with gems and jewelry since the eighteenth century, when they supplied precious stones to the Shahas of Persia. They imported turquoise and gems along the Silk Road and, of course, pearls. A habit that still continues: Yoko specializes in fine pearls, those from the South Seas in Asia. They can be white, or with a pink or golden color. Needless to say, all this experience is transformed into expertise in the settings of the precious stones. Here, for example, is an 18 kt rose gold ring with 0.77 carats of diamonds and 4.44 carats of amethyst to which is added a 14-15 mm pink freshwater pearl. The ring is part of the Calypso collection, also appreciated by the singer Pixie Lott.
