The season of major auctions is back. The closest event is Sotheby’s, with a sale of fine jewels scheduled for February 6 in New York. It is an auction in which pieces that show the evolution of jewelry design in the 20th century will be auctioned. They range from the geometric style of the Art Deco period to the design of the 1940s, up to the fantasies of the 1960s, with gems and animals. Many prominent names in jewelry, authors of classic solitaires, high-quality colored stones and natural pearls. Here are some of the most interesting pieces.

Spilla a forma di farfalla firmata Van Cleef & Arpels. Al centro, un diamante a forma marquise del peso di circa 0,70 carati. Le ali sono incorniciate da diamanti rotondi peso di circa 2.00 carati. Stima: 55-74 mila dollari<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Bracciale in oro 18 carati, firmato Van Cleef & Arpels.
L’elefante \u00e8 in avorio scolpito, la corona ha un rubino cabochon misura circa 8,2 per 6,2 millimetri, incorniciato da diamanti rotondi del peso di circa 1,00 carati, la coda ha un turchese cabochon a forma di pera, completata da due occhi di smeraldo cabochon, di circonferenza interna 7 pollici. Circa 1965.

Suiti firmata Boucheron. \u00c8 composta da una collana, da una spilla e da un paio di orecchini progettati come un intreccio di vite in fiore, con rami d’oro come texture. I petali dei fiori hanno diamanti a taglio singolo peso di circa 8.75 carati, e 16 rubini rotondi, con foglie evidenziate in smalto verde. La lunghezza della collana \u00e8 di 16 pollici.
