Ganjavi recounted the life of the legendary Sassanid ruler Bahram Gur (420\u2012438) who, according to legend, married seven princesses from seven different countries. For each of his wives he built domed palaces, with different colors and decorations and representing different planets. Every day of the week the king visited a different wife. Imagine the rest.
