He attended the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and in 1973 he founded the Galerie Ekster in Leeuwarden. He has also taught at numerous European academies and, in Italy, he has been a lecturer at Alchimia &#8211; Florence Contemporary Jewelery School.
