Maybe it’s because the skull has been in fashion since Damien Hirst elevated it to a work of art, or maybe it’s because Halloween is approaching. The fact is that skulls (but also crosses) are the strong point of the Turkish designer Lokman Kursunlu (Kurshuni). Leaving aside the folklore that accompanies, in spite of him, any Turk who arrives in the West (the bazaars etc.), just like when Italians in their element are persecuted by the refrain pizza-mafia-mandolin, Kurshuni proposes symbols that have nothing to do with the East. Skulls, of course, or crosses. Stuff that is not very popular in Islamic countries. Here, however, it is in fashion: and here are the bracelets, pendants, necklaces and rings of the collection made of 925 silver, cubic zirconia, black spinel, semi-precious stones combined with colored laces and even leather. Kurshuni is distributed in Italy by Aibijoux.
