The decision of Hartmann was made after visiting the country&#8217;s mines, which highlight sustainable processes for the extraction of the gems: each Greenland Ruby stone is endowed with a certificate of origin authorized and issued by the Government of Greenland, which guarantees a high standard for human rights and environmental responsibility, the company said.<br \/>\nAt the moment there is only one company that extracts pink rubies and sapphires in Greenland in a remote site of Aappaluttoq, 155 miles south of Nuuk, the capital of the country.
