It is considered by experts as the greatest and purest of all time, the rarest white diamond arrived on the market. But the auction house decided not to auction the precious stone. The sale price is expected to exceed 30 million dollars, which is the current auction record for a white diamond, achieved in 2013 in a Sotheby&#8217;s sale in Hong Kong.<br \/>\nThe diamond for sale has a round, brilliant cut, and has obtained the highest marks for cut, color and transparency of the Gemological Institute of America. In short, it is free of defects and has been classified as type 11a. Diamonds of this type, even if small, are less than 2% of all the diamonds extracted. The stone was made from an even larger 425-carat diamond found in a De Beers mine in Botswana. Six months of work were needed to cut this giant diamond.<br \/>\nAccording to Patti Wong, founder and president of Sotheby&#8217;s Diamonds, &#8220;This stone is over 100 carats of flawless perfection.
