Cruciani bracelets end up on the pages of the most prestigious financial newspaper in the world: the “Wall Street Journal”. The colorful macram\u00e9 laces, with small embroideries that form hearts or flowers, comic book characters or simply a plot, have been a boom. Two years ago they were launched on the beaches of Versilia. Now they are on the wrists of 11 million men and women, from stars like Belen and Alessia Marcuzzi, to football champions. Result: the Foligno company, which risked closing a few years ago, is now booming. According to forecasts, 2013 will close with a turnover of 28.7 million euros, double that of 2011. And all with jewelery that costs a few euros (around 5 on average). In short, it’s all thanks to that mix between accessory and bracelet that the small textile company was able to invent. So much so that Cruciani laces can now be found in points of sale around the world, even in the USA, such as in Miami and Palm Springs. And now those are arriving in countries such as Turkey and Lebanon: the forecast is to open 400 new stores within 2 years. For Luca Caprai, CEO of Cruciani, a challenge that seems to have just begun.
