They have been commissioned to Lapland Jewelry by Bj\u00f6rn Weckstr\u00f6m, Finnish designer and sculptor. The necklace, called Planetoid Valleys and the Darina bracelet, have become the most popular jewelery pieces of the brand.<br \/>\nEveryone started with a call in Weckstr\u00f6m in 1976. A collaborator of George Lucas asked the designer new jewelry within six weeks. The choice was not casual: Bj\u00f6rn Weckstr\u00f6m had already made pieces on the subject of space and science fiction. But the time allowed was shortened to a week and, therefore, a existed jewel of Lapponia Jewelry was used. Since film scenes were shot in studios near London, space jewelery was purchased very simply in Bond Street.<br \/>\nThe Planetoid Valley Necklace and Darina Bracelet were worn by Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia as he handed the medals to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford).
