Poor stars: many of them will be forced to parade at Cannes without precious Chopard diamonds on their fingers, necks or wrists. Just like in a film, there was a theft of over 775 thousand euros at the C\u00f4te d’Azur film festival. In fact, a box of Chopard jewels intended to be lent to the stars of the Festival has disappeared. It was kept in a hotel room and not in a vault: at the very least, whoever was in charge of its safekeeping must have smoked a joint. According to the French newspaper \u00abLe Monde\u00bb, the jewels disappeared during the night from the room of an employee of the famous jewelery brand in a hotel of the Novotel chain. It appears that the theft took place around 2.30 am. A Chopard spokeswoman said the company would not comment on the theft. That is, you declared not to declare: brilliant idea, it must be said. Melissa Levine, of the Accor hotel chain, also declined to comment. Dozens of police were involved in the investigation, and police vehicles were seen outside the hotel in the afternoon.
