Because in February it came the news that the ring would be auctioned in London by Timeline Auction. And so Philippe de Villiers, founder of the Puy du Fou, in Vendée, has started a fundraiser to buy the historic ring. The Foundation Puy du Fou has thus collected 80,000 euro, but with the help of an array of donors funds have reached 350,000. And the son of the auction promoter, Nicolas de Villiers, managed to buy the ring for 376,833 euro. The ring, given to the young Joan of Arc from parents on the occasion of his first communion, will be back in France. Considered a relic, the ring is made of brass and decorated with three crosses. He recorded the letters JM, for Jesus Maria. According to legend, Saint Joan watched the ring before each battle.

L’anello di Giovanna d’Arco

Giovanna d’Arco a cavallo

There are also legendary rings.
