And if the trend continues, the price of gold jewelry could also slide downwards in the coming months. The price of the yellow metal on the markets falls as fears about global economic growth and expectations of new central bank interventions on the markets grow: factors that push investors to raise cash and, therefore, to sell gold. On the markets these days the price is hovering around $1,360, a two-year low.
