For 2015, the Color of the Year is that of an Italian fortified wine (Sicilian to be precise), Marsala. To be precise, it is Pantone 18-1438 Marsala, an earthy red «endowed with natural vigor». Last year the chosen color was Radiant Orchid. According to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, «Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding security and stability. Just like the fortified wine Marsala, this refined hue embodies the satisfying taste of a satisfying meal, while its stabilizing red-brown roots exude the sophisticated and natural concreteness of the earth. This vigorous yet elegant shade has universal appeal and can be easily applied to fashion, cosmetics, industrial design and furniture.”

Bracciale color Marsala

The world of fashion and jewelry waits every year to know what will be the color of the year established by Pantone, an X-Rite company, which thanks to the classification of shades (patented) has become a world authority on the subject.
