Eight because it is a lucky number and Jewels because gold (9 carats), silver and natural precious stones are used to promote the concept of well-being. It is not known whether Beppe Callegari, the soul of this new Italian brand, Otto Jewels, also believes that the number 8 with its circles that meet and balance each other, is the symbol of balance and infinity, but he is certainly convinced that the simplicity of the shapes and the clean lines are the ideal stylistic elements to spread a positive message. It is no coincidence that one of the new collections has been named Messages, a collection of phrases in English, each engraved on bracelets, rings, pendants, earrings: \u00abcollects moments not things\u00bb, explains the designer to Gioiellis from the VicenzaOro stand. Well-being, feelings, spirituality, everything is mixed with classic symbols such as hearts and crosses reinterpreted with a pinch of irony: the stones set backwards in heart-shaped settings of the Upside Down line can even scratch other people’s skin. “A bit like love, which sometimes makes you suffer,” comments Callegari. The crosses have a gothic rock spirit in the rings in burnished silver and diamonds, while the Ex-votos refer to the miraculous power of beauty. All 100% made in Italy.
