Sicily is an island rich in treasures\u2014and home to jewelers capable of capturing the spirit of the surrounding Mediterranean Sea. These elements inspired Carlo Izzo\u2019s *Tesori del Mare* (Treasures of the Sea) collection. In Syracuse\u2014the birthplace of Archimedes and a former capital of the Byzantine Empire\u2014Carlo Izzo and his family have been creating wearable jewelry-sculptures since 1984, hand-forged using traditional Sicilian techniques. He works with materials such as gold, gemstones, and coral. His pieces draw inspiration from the city\u2019s Baroque architecture and the wonders of the seabed. These creations are admired by many celebrities and continue to be crafted not only by the founder but also by his children, Simone and Sarah Izzo, who carry on their father\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n
