Grace Kelly’s jewels arrive at the Cannes Film Festival in the film starring Nicole Kidman. Grace of Monaco includes a scene in which the American actress, Grace Kelly, visits the historic Cartier boutique on rue de la Paix in Paris. Grace-Nicole wears the jewels that once belonged to the princess in several scenes of the film. Or rather, the faithful reproductions that the French maison developed for the film and that you see in these images. Among other things, the visit to the Cartier boutique was an important moment for Grace Kelly: on that occasion, in fact, she announced to journalists that she would abandon her acting career to devote herself to the life and duties of a princess, after her marriage to Rainier of Monaco. Cartier’s hand, however, was not limited to reproducing Grace’s most famous jewels. In addition to these historical reproductions, Cartier also lent pieces of fine jewelry, including an eye-catching emerald necklace worn by Spanish actress Paz Vega, who plays Maria Callas in the film. Cartier watches are worn by the male protagonists, who play Prince Rainier III (Tim Roth), and Aristotle Onassis (Robert Lindsay).
