The historic brand Unoaerre, reborn after a period of distress, presented its novelties to OroArezzo ◆
Italy is one of the countries with a long tradition of goldsmith. He is also one of the leading players on the gold and jewelery market. This tradition is manifested in several ways: it can be continued by singles designers, small Maison producing a few pieces a year, or by large realities that combine crafts with the industrial organization, such as Unoaerre.
At OroArezzo 2017, the company, which is based in the Tuscan town, has presented some new examples of its production. Jewelery that is destined to different markets and customers and are witness to the breadth of the offer of the brand of Arezzo. Yellow gold or pink gold, chains, rings, rings: the proposal is quite different.
Unoaerre, founded in 1926 by Leopoldo Gori and Carlo Zucchi, has just turned 90 and is preparing to celebrate a century of activity: it is considered the first goldsmith company in the world, and is not an exaggeration. The name comes from what was the first punch released in the city: 1Ar. The inscription has become the Unoaerre extended name. To give an idea of the size, the company has a turnover of 140 million euros. Crisis a few years ago, in 2013, was picked up by Sergio Squarcialupi, through Chimet, a specialist in refining, precious metal recovery (with a turnover of 2 billion).
