The new geometries of Lora Nikolova

New stitches, lines, geometries and colors in Lora Nikolova’s bijoux ♦ ︎

She has just presented her new collection in New York at the Curate International Collections, a show that hosts a group of designers in the heart of Manhattan. Back in Italy, Lora Nikolova decided to present her creations from 25 to 27 October, in the gallery Gli Eroici Furori Contemporary Art, together with three artists with whom Lora shares the desire to innovate the world of bijoux when they becomes something more of an accessory. No coincidence that the venue is an art gallery, because these necklaces, brooches and earrings have a common base with the world of painters and sculptors.

The other three innovators are Carlotta Scarabeo, Paula Ducoli and Silvia Guarnieri. But it is Lora Nikolova who has a double link with the world of art. Her bijoux, in fact, expressly recall the paintings of Vassily Kandinsky, a French-Russian artist who was a forerunner and founder of abstract painting. Points, lines, simple geometric shapes, flat colors: even the new creations of the designer, who studied at the Accademia di Brera, respect the style she was able to invent.
