A collection dedicated to great artists like Mondrian, Kandinsky, Stella and Delauny: the idea is of Hong Kong Chow Tai Fook brand. If you do not know it, it has a sales network of some 2,300 jewels shop. In short, a mammoth size. But, even though most of her jewelry is for the general public, the company also grants to propose something more elitist. How, precisely, the collection called Le Labyrinthe Artistique, developed by the director, Adrian Cheng. Les Blocs de Fantaisie, for example, is an annular ring in yellow gold, inspired to Mondrian, to which corresponds also a necklace. It is made with green tourmalines, rubies and sapphires. Acoustique du Coeur, however, is a small monument to Wassily Kandinsky, with white diamonds, rubellites-shaped kite, rubies and rock crystal. Le Temps de Danse, in turn, reflect the geometries of Robert Delaunay with sapphire and chalcedony.
“We’ve distilled the essence behind the rhythm of colors, shapes, brush strokes, the size, scale and interpretation of aesthetic eyes by these masterpieces of abstraction,” said Cheng, who in the fall will also add to the collection jewels in homage to Alexander Calder and Picasso. Eventually there will be 15 sets of jewelry, which will be sold at auction. Federico Graglia
