Poesia Gioielli with Innamorata for Valentine’s Day

What poem is more beautiful than love? It is, therefore, natural that Poesia Gioielli, a Crieri brand, dedicates a collection to the celebration of love, i.e. Valentine’s Day. Consistently, the collection is called Innamorata. The new jewelry line consists of a series of three rings and mini-hoop earrings inspired by the immortal shape of the heart. They are simple and precious jewels. The heart at the center of all the jewels is created with the use of natural rhodolite, a stone of the garnet family with an intense pink color tending towards red. The central stone is flanked by white diamonds in a game of asymmetries which are the hallmark of the collection.

Heart rings become a version of the classic diamond solitaire. The jewel is available in different versions: simple, with a pair of diamonds flanking the heart-shaped stone, or with brilliants set along the edge of the gold band. And there is also a double ring, with two circles side by side, one smooth and one with diamonds. Gold is offered in three versions yellow, white and pink. Even the hoop earrings take up the same style as the rings.

A Vertigo for Mattioli

/

A new Mattioli collection arrives: it’s called Vertigo. Vertigo is the impression that you, or the environment around you, is moving or rotating. This sensation may be barely noticeable, or it may be so severe that it causes difficulty maintaining balance and carrying out daily activities. But vertigo is also a term used to indicate something pleasant, surprising, exciting. It is very likely that the new jewelry line of the Turin Maison refers to this second interpretation.

In any case, Vertigo is a prêt-à-porter collection in a minimalist style. The jewels, in fact, use the geometric shapes of the sixties and seventies in a selection of rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces that can be mixed and worn together. Mattioli’s new jewels are available in 18-karat rose gold and combined with baguette-cut semi-precious stones, such as amethysts, iolites, rhodolites, london topaz and sky.

Stephen Webster gold addicted

Stephen Webster is undeniably struck by gold since he has been designing jewellery for nearly 40 years, but that is not the only reason why he has named Gold Struck his new collection. He has been impressed by the discovery itself of the Cheapside Hoard, the world’s largest collection of Elizabethan and Jacobean jewellery ever found. What struck the British designer is not so much the 500 pieces of exceptional value, but the fact they was unearthed in 1912 by the pickaxes of workmen demolishing an old jeweller’s premises on Cheapside in the City of London. Kind of like discovery of oil gushing from the ground, these jewels have jumped out of a treasure box. In Webster collection dominate amethyst, topaz, tanzanites, rubies, fire opals and sapphires, the same stones of the hidden treasure. But these are set in diamonds, triangles, rectangles, rounds, in short, multi-shaped and sized that orbit harmoniously around a hexagonal, faceted irregularly center stone as if just dug up. The color combinations for ear climbers, two-finger or opened rings, traditional pendants or bracelets, are like Webster’s edgy aesthetics, that is whimsical and robust: the red version with corals, fire opals, diamonds and orange sapphires, the purple one with amethysts, rubies and rhodolite, and the blue one with turquoises, amethysts, blue topaz and tanzanite. Matilde de Bounvilles

ukThe Swarovski Garden is precious

The project of Swarovski, started three years ago, has finally been unveiled: a collection, called Jeweled Garden, enlisted by Swarovski to highlight its wide range of colorful gemstones and its craftsmen ability to cut them. Eight rings, three necklaces and four bracelets in 18K gold and precious stones from multi-colored sapphires to amethysts, garnets, topaz, spinel and rhodolite, designed by Matthew Campbell Laurenza, who studied sculpture before moving into jewelry design. From him so even the 15 hyper-realistic sculptures, picked from an enchanted garden, where flora and fauna are oversized and a little bit outlandish: there is a black widow in silver plated with rhodium black, with legs long almost 3 meters studded with more than 30 000 blacks and 375 topaz red spinels ($ 295,000), a branch of lilac very elaborate nearly 4 meters high composed with more than 30 thousand white, purple and pink topazes ($ 195,000). A tribute to Rubens, to the cycle of paintings The five senses by Brueghel the Elder, and to the artists of the 17th century, according to the intentions of the American designer, who transferred this inspiration even in high jewelery. An example? The white gold spider ring with a large  blue topaz body, surrounded by 92 black diamonds or the necklace with a black pearl and a bouquet of flowers shaped in rose gold, sapphires and blue topazes.
