Natural gems and gold-plated silver: these are the ingredients of the menu with which the Piercing Gemstones capsule collection by PdPaola is composed. The Catalan brand offers a journey through the world of piercings, of small earrings that can dot the ear like little stars. The piercings, as foreseen by the trend, are strictly gender free, that is, they are offered indifferently for men or women, or whatever you want. The line of small jewels is quite simple in shape, but what can be an added value is the suggested possibility of wearing the small piercing earrings together.

The small jewels are made of 18-karat gold-plated silver, with white cubic zirconia together with natural gemstones: sodalite, charoite, rutilated quartz, tiger’s eye or agate
green. In Italy, the capsule collection is also offered with a promotional initiative: a 25% discount starting from the purchase of the second earring, not only from this collection, but also from others of the Maison.

Rutilated quartz is a different stone from the others. While for most gems the purity and transparency of the stone is taken into account, for rutilated quartz what you like is precisely the inclusions. Nanis knows this well, proposing a new collection that has this gem at its center. Rutilated quartz, in fact, is a variety that contains needle-like inclusions of rutile, which can be golden, or silver, pink, copper red or deep black, which are seen in transparency in the stone, with always different variations.

The idea of discovering this imaginative natural creation inspired Laura Bicego, designer and founder of Nanis, who designed an entire collection based on rutilated quartz together, as usual for the Maison, with engraved gold and small diamonds. The quartz of the jewels is proposed in different versions, golden, pink, brown or with black inclusions. The jewels are made with a single shade, or with contrasting colors, up to clusters with a mix of shades that makes the jewels different from each other.

From gems to jewels: it is a road traveled many times by those who trade with precious stones. Brian Cook, of Tucson, Arizona (where one of the largest fairs dedicated to gems takes place), however, has a further specialization: he mainly dedicates himself to rutilated quartz, a stone that he extracts directly thanks to his mine in Brazil. The company, Nature’s Geometry, then gave birth to Quore, a designer jewelry brand. It should be added that the word Quore sounds like the Italian word cuore (heart).

Like other companies related to the mining sector, Quore-Nature’s Geometry also emphasizes its commitment to responsible and ethical sourcing. But what distinguishes Quore is the special processing of the stones, where the enhancement of the transparency of the quartz combined with paraiba tourmaline, or emeralds and rubies immediately stands out. The idea is to suggest how human life is composed of different layers with different levels of understanding. But the effect is above all that of an original jewel. The stones are cut in Brazil, while the processing of rings and pendants takes place in the United States.

The name Ipanema, evokes different patterns: the endless beach of Rio de Janeiro, tropical atmospheres, tanned bodies and the liveliness of the tropics. But, for those who love the jewelry, Ipanema also evokes the collection signed Nanis, a Venetian Maison that knows how to interpret the art of jewelry with the evocative pleasure of collections capable of transporting the mind elsewhere. On the other hand, is not the only technique cold goldsmith to attribute value to a gem, but also what it can evoke. And the case of Ipanema, a collection that can enjoy you even in a winter Monday. The pieces are made in 18k gold, diamonds and natural stones.
