Paillettes is the name of one of Chantecler’s most successful collections, and also one of the most fun. In 2014, the Capri jeweler thought of this collection as something that retains the bright colors of the island in front of Naples, but also the elegance of a sunset in front of the sea rocks. A sparkling jewelry, with small round mobile elements, made with the en tremblant technique, which increase the pleasure of moving with the jewelry on.
Now the Pailettes collection is renewed with new pieces, many bracelets, and colors such as aqua green, pink, Capri blue, in addition to the more classic black and white. The color of the round elements is made with the ancient cathedral enamel technique, a traditional process that was used in Art-Nouveau jewels. L’icône de la Maison, symbole du coq stylisé, apparaît désormais dans les éléments circulaires classiques de la collection, avec une silhouette rappelant le signe graphique du cœur. Ces icônes sont en or avec un petit pavé de diamants à l’intérieur.
Kulto 925, one of the Diffusione Orologi brands specialized in silver jewellery, presents new bracelets, necklaces and earrings. The common feature is lightness. In this case it is gilded silver, with the addition of a cubic zirconia pavé for the sequins that accompany the design of the necklaces, with a flavor described as gypsy. The choker necklace has a single central pendant made up of three elements: two smooth sequins and one with cubic zirconia pavé (the proposed price is 69 euros). The very low price also suggests the possibility of wearing more than one jewel together.
For example, together with other necklaces with sequins arranged asymmetrically, playing with the dimensions and the pavé decoration (price: 99 euros). There is also a tie necklace made up of several strands and a very long pendant that crosses the neckline (109 euros). Even bracelets and earrings follow the same design.
The Paillettes collection by Giovanni Raspini: silver to offer a moment of lightness ♦
Sequins, or paillettes in lingua francese, are associated with parties, moments of fun, frivolity. Therefore, it’s ok combine sequins with wearable jewels, perhaps for those moments of leisure. Light, bright, brilliant: the sequins are also the protagonists of the silver collection signed by the Maison of Florence Giovanni Raspini.
The Paillettes collection is composed of jewels that use the shape of small ovals, those that make up sequins, as a pattern.
The small silver lenticular elements do not form figures, but are scattered irregularly on the jewel, even with different dimensions. The jewels are in silver, entirely handmade by means of lost wax casting, with a design that is attentive to wearability. A pendant, a necklace, two bracelets, two earrings and two rings were made. New Sequins for Chantecler
The renewed Paillettes collection by Chantecler. Rings, necklaces and bracelets that move like the waves of the sea of Capri ♦ ︎
Once the paillettes, used in tailoring, were small discs of colored plastic material, capable of throwing reflections, applied on clothes. From a couple of years, however, Paillettes is also the name of a collection of Chantecler, a historic brand that feels the island of Capri, in the Mediterranean, as its base, but also as its style. The Dolce Vita of the Fifties and Sixties is a myth that has been transformed, for Chantecler, into the famous bells. But not only: the Paillettes collection is just one of those lines of jewelry that maintains the joy associated with the way of life caprese, but in a new way. Last fall Chantecler renewed the collection with new jewels.
Rings, necklaces and earrings are made in gold with white, green, pink, black and turquoise sky circles, with the addition of some diamond pavé.
But a characteristic of the collection is the tremblant setting. The sequins or, better, the individual circles, can show small oscillations that add movement to the jewel and therefore cause more attention. The color of the circles is made with the cathedral enamel technique, the same used in the Art Nouveau jewels. The necklaces can also be transformed into multicolored bracelets, in chokers.
